Bird Watching In Ulu Temburong

The Ulu Temburong National Park, located in the Temburong District is home to one of the world’s highest levels of biodiversity and set in 50,000 hectares of untainted rainforest. Experience Brunei’s natural wonders and a host of soundtracks by the large variety of insects, birds and animal species found in the national park. It’s also known as a birding and hornbill paradise by bird watching enthusiasts; as of June 2018, there are over 220 listed and sighted birds in the park!

From BND150/pax for 8 hours Travel time from Bandar Seri Begawan: approximately 2 hours Main bird sightings: Spectacled flowerpecker, rufous-bellied eagle, black thighed falconet, large green pigeon, Garnett Pitta, white rumped Shahma, Helmeted Hornbill, Great Slaty Woodpecker and Grey Breasted Spiderhunter and many more. Best time and month to do bird-watching: Catch the beautiful sunrise from the Canopy Tower at 6.30am, or watch the beginnings of the sun setting over the horizon around 4pm. Fruiting season is all year round, while breeding period is between April to September.
